  • 28.07.2005 – Madu Chuckwunyere, a member of MASSOB* (Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra*) speaks to Robbie Sinnott of Near FM on his experience as an asylum seeker in Ireland. He says he left Biafraland with his wife for political and religious reasons. Madu came to Ireland to seek refugee but his political appeal for asylum was turned down on the day of this interview. Madu speaks about contesting the verdict on his leave to remain application and his family’s placement in a hostel in Kinsale, Cork while they wait for a response.
